Ingredients
5LbsFresh boneless chicken breasts, chicken tenderloins or boneless chicken thighs If the chicken breasts are large, cut them in half or pound to an even thickness
1/3CupBrown sugar
2TbspSea salt
1TbspOnion powder
2Tsp Garlic powder
1/2 TspBlack pepper
Instructions
Place your chicken pieces in a large bowl.
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, sea salt (I really love Celtic sea salt for this recipe, but Himalayan or regular sea salt works well too), onion powder, garlic powder and black pepper.
Add the brown sugar mix onto the chicken and either use your hands or a large spoon to mix it well until the chicken is coated in the brown sugar mixture.
Heat your grill to medium heat and place the chicken on the grill.
Grill the chicken pieces until they are no longer pink and the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Flipping them to ensure they get those grill marks on both sides and the brown sugar caramelizes on both sides.
Remove from the grill and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
This is delicious served with a side salad or steamed veggies or on top of a bed of mixed greens topped with a sweet dressing, like a vinaigrette or even a ranch dressing. Tastes delicious on it's own, but also good with barbecue sauce. Enjoy!!
